it is a word that is often used to describe how attractive a person is, a sight that gives pleasure or the observer, or how fine an object is.
the word can also be used to describe pleasant weather - what a beautiful day! - or a job well done - that seamstress sewed beautifully.
i think beauty goes much deeper than that.
it is not just a description of something nice, pleasant, attractive, or well executed - its a gut feeling.
when i look at this couple, i see the love, and i am struck by it.
by it’s beauty.
if you read the previous post, you will know that i am in intern with simply rustic photography, and i did not take these photos. but i wish i did!
these photographs tell the story of seth and felicia. a couple i never met and yet i feel as if i am a part of their story.
looking at these photos, you can’t help but feel as if you were there at the wedding, getting ready with the bride and the groom, feeling the nerves, love, happiness and (yes i know it is a synonym of happiness,) pure jubilation from the family and friends who came to celebrate and support the union of this couple.
through these photographs, i feel as if i was there. i saw seth’s awe struck gaze as felicia walked down the aisle. i saw the father of the bride sitting lovingly next to his wife. i tasted the lovely wedding cake.
i heard the sister of the groom give her speech at the reception. i cried during the first dance.
and it was beautiful.
